Our Latin dance community partnered with a visiting artist and art gallery to put on a salsa dancing event. It was fun dancing however it was not much of an art purchasing crowd. Once the auction started, nothing happened and they had to stop the auction and try again later.
We organized a whole family Skype call for Dad’s Birthday! First, of course, we resolved a few issues with sound settings. LOL It wansn’t me this time, it was Dad. 🙂
We took some great “pictures” with everyone, and even brought out a little birthday cake. 🙂
Then of course we all had to get pics with our kitties. Meow!
The rugby classic is once again in Bermuda and we got tickets courtesy of Lothar’s work. We watched the game some but mostly we enjoyed the hospitality tents and atmosphere.
At the end, all the players lined up and stood for a minute of silence for a player who had died this past year.
Another lovely Latin dance social at Cocoa Reef. We showed up early for dinner but we were actually the only ones in the whole restaurant they served us dinner anyway! LOL.
I went to a really nice event on the beach with a small group of ladies. We went in the evening and just celebrated the moon coming up and boy did it ever come up. It was so so beautiful.
We got to do a repeat performance of the Ladies Bachata choreography at Docksiders. It came back to us after a bit of pre-show practice, and we had such great support from the rest of the dance community!
We went to a salsa event at the pool! It was hot but it was so much fun and a great turnout, in a beautiful and scenic location.
It was crazy because all we got was cake. Even though we were at a hotel they had absolutely no food or appetizers that we could buy. Only drinks. People left and came back with chips and stuff lol.
I got a few dances in.
Lothar had some fun taking pictures of everyone including some shadow pictures.
Bermuda is back in action! The Latin dance community has grown, thanks in large part to the efforts of Clave – providing informal Salsa and Bachata lessons before social dancing every Thursday, and more recently Tempo – creating and teaching choreography, and organizing a performance Event!
Well, that event was last Friday, and here’s my Ladies Bachata performance. Yes, I’m in it! I’m sure you can find me. Thanks to Lothar for capturing the excellent video!
I managed to wear my contacts all night so I didn’t have to perform in glasses. Yey!!
