February 18, 2023 – Bermuda
Every year, the “Just for Laughs” show comes to Bermuda.
We went out for a lovely dinner beforehand at Ascot’s, one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions.
As always, it was loads of laughs, and we had really good seats near the front too!
January 28, 2023 – Bermuda
We attended a concert at the Bermuda Festival called ‘Blues to Bluegrass’
It was a violin and bass combo, and the music was fun and interesting. They also had some good stories to tell.
The concert was held in one of the local churches and felt very grandiose. The sound quality was good there, although it was a bit cold.
December 27, 2022 – Bermuda
Here’s our little Christmas tree with our new LED lights. It’s our first year with them. Aren’t they pretty!
We had a little Christmas dinner with Zoe, and then opened our gifts!

October 30, 2022 – Bermud
Just another day in beautiful Bermuda. We went out to Fort Scour for a bit of walking, and to enjoy the views and beautiful weather!
September 23, 2022 – Bermuda
September 8th, we got a close call from Earl, a Category 2 hurricane. It was just a lot of rain and wind, because it missed us.
Then later in the month, Fiona came by as a Category 3 hurricane. We prepared for this one a lot more, and brought outdoor things inside. Princess found a spot on the mats from the balcony furniture.
It didn’t take too long to get power back after the storm, and the generator was awesome to have in the meantime, as always. We didn’t get much damage except a lot of leaves coming down from the palm tree, and the plants getting beaten up.
But the real big deal is when a storm comes late summer like this, it takes down a LOT of early avocadoes! I had 14 bags all together to give away. Then of course they keep falling for months, since this is the start of their season!
Thanks everyone who took some, and if we get another storm this September, there will be more!
October 11, 2021 – Bermuda
We have our own sports hero here in Bermuda. Flora Duffy wins the Triathlon again! We saw the Bermuda flag flying on TV for her while we were away
And of course they celebrated here in front of City Hall!
June 27, 2021 – Bermuda
At long last, dancing is coming back at outdoor venues. This one is at Tobacco Bay, just in time for sunset!
We really need to get some pictures of us actually DANCING!
May 23, 2021 – Bermuda
Another lovely day in Bermuda. We drove out toward St. Georges to the still new-ish St. Regis resort. We had a lovely lunch out on their patio. The food and service were lovely!
April 8, 2021 – Bermuda
Around the room and hotel.
It’s early spring, but I’m still more comfortable in my jacket!
Some game room time. That’s a pretty good word I got there!
We learned to play Pickle Ball. I was still cold, but eventually after some time the jacket then the sweater finally came off. 🙂
And we did an outing to good old Dockyard.
April 2, 2021 – Bermuda
Every Good Friday in Bermuda is Kite Day! Many make traditional wood and paper kites with long white tails. Any also just buy kites. It was a perfect windy day for flying and many were out enjoying it!
