May 7, 2023 – Las Vegas
The trip there… took a taxi to the airport, lunch at Phily airport, then some very cool sights from the plane! The video is actually lightning happening in the clouds!
Then we arrive in Las Vegas…
And check in to our hotel, the Luxor. It’s the pyramid, and ever since my first visit to Last Vegas it’s always been a dream to one day stay there. And here we are!!
April 13, 2023 – Bermuda
Just a nice neighborhood walk one evening. Gorgeous sunset over the sound.
This one looked like Locutus of Borg! LOL, I couldn’t resist!
April 07, 2023 – Bermuda
As always, Kite Day (Good Friday) draws a great turnout at Horseshoe Bay. Tons of people and tons of kites flying! There were even lifeguards on duty.
We had a really nice time, and here are some of my favorite kites!
March 25, 2023– Bermuda
Deja View is actually a new restaurant that has opened here in Bermuda. This doesn’t happen very often, so it was a real treat for us to go and check it out for the first time.
Here are some of the great dishes we enjoyed.
And of course, we came back another time and sat outside! They have a lovely garden with a view of the harbor and boats in the marina.
March 17, 2023 – Bermuda
For her graduating year, Zoë was tasked with creating an entire art exhibit. I wasn’t able to go to the main opening, but I got a private viewing later on instead!
And there was a theme behind the entire display.
I was super impressed with her work. All of the pieces had cohesion and just like any full-fledged art gallery, each piece had a descriptive text telling you what the artwork was about. It just looks like so much work to produce all those pieces to put all the thought behind it and then all the structure of the hand-knitted spider webs that link it all together. Amazing work Zoë!
March 03, 2023 – Bermuda
Zoe came over to celebrate Lothar’s birthday together.
We opened gifts and then we went out for a nice dinner on the terrace.
February 18, 2023 – Bermuda
Every year, the “Just for Laughs” show comes to Bermuda.
We went out for a lovely dinner beforehand at Ascot’s, one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions.
As always, it was loads of laughs, and we had really good seats near the front too!
January 28, 2023 – Bermuda
We attended a concert at the Bermuda Festival called ‘Blues to Bluegrass’
It was a violin and bass combo, and the music was fun and interesting. They also had some good stories to tell.
The concert was held in one of the local churches and felt very grandiose. The sound quality was good there, although it was a bit cold.
January 05, 2023 – Bermuda
Nosey was such a wonderful kitty, very small. I liked to call her my sweet little pointy cat!
Even though she started out as a stray that Lothar brought into his home, gradually she became the most affectionate and wonderful kitty I have known. Although she loved spending a lot of time outside on the balcony, when she was inside she always wanted to sit on us and with us.
She had several really cute mannerisms. One of them was when you stopped petting her she would take a swipe at you. LOL, another one was when she would rub up against a wall she would stick out her back leg. The cutest thing! And then there’s the one in the video where she likes to hold a blanket in her mouth while purring and kneading it. So cute!
She got along nicely with Lance but unfortunately, she and Princess would walk large circles around each other. So we treasure the pictures that we have of the three of them together because it was truly rare when that happened.
Nosey will be missed forever. I’m glad she had a long and happy life.
